 The directors of Pamodzi Industrials (Pty) Ltd (formerly API, Allied Production Industries), and IntraCast Precision Castings, are pleased to announce the acquisition of IntraCast by Pamodzi Industrials and the merger of two of the most respected names in investment casting, Rely Precision Castings and IntraCast Precision Castings. The new company, to be known as Rely IntraCast, is headed by Peter Goode as Managing Director, previously the Managing Director of IntraCast, and he is supported by the excellence of the combined technical management teams of the two companies. The two foundries form the precision castings division of Pamodzi Industrials, and this results in Rely IntraCast becoming the only BEE compliant precision casting enterprise in the country. RELYIntraCast offers the customer all the benefits of a "one stop" solution to manufacturing needs. We offer expert and unbiased consultation assisting in design and material optimisation, the selection of the most suitable method of production, the production of rapid prototypes and tooling using the leading world technology and volume production of investment castings. RELYIntraCast undertakes all aspects of the casting production from tool procurement to casting delivery, including full machining when required. RELYIntraCast uses the high definition investment casting process, sometimes referred to as lost wax casting, where high quality tooling is used to produce fault free waxes which are the patterns for forming ceramic moulds for producing net or near net shape castings in the widest range of metals from volumes of one to one hundred thousand. RELYIntraCast also offers rapid prototyping systems that create complex three dimensional models by successively "Forming" cross sections of patterns, using data from any CAD system. The transition from CAD to a physical model takes place in a matter of hours without tooling or machining. These models can then be used for design evaluation or directly as patterns for the casting of metal components. Utilising this technology RELYIntraCast also produces cast to form tooling with the precision associated with investment casting.
